September 2013. What a rush!

Wow what an amazing month! With this the last day of September 2013 I felt compelled to write something to summarise how busy and exciting the past 4 weeks have been.

We started the month by taking to the skies flying over to Sydney to second shoot Annikki & Heism’s wedding in Sydney (my first destination wedding!) with Jewel Chenoweth Photography. We had such an adventure exploring Sydney scouting for locations in the two days leading up to the wedding day which was nothing short of spectacular. We photographed around the Star, Circular Quay, took a ferry to Darling Harbour then headed to the ceremony and reception at the Crystal Room, Paradiso in Fairfield. I really should make a separate post of the recounts of the day, but suffice to say it was an incredible experience!

A few days after returning to Adelaide I did a street photography shoot for Casper & Pearl before hopping onto another plane bound for Melbourne to photograph Nada & Amgad’s wedding on the following weekend. I had the pleasure of also being their driver for the day in a shiny Mercedes E200, even though the traffic was against us, we had enough time for a portrait session at Fitzroy Gardens before heading to the mid-afternoon reception at Berth, Docklands. I have to give special thanks to Omar who was a great impromptu assistant!

A couple months ago I shoot the ‘behind the scenes’ photos for the September Collection campaign shoot and on the 26th September was the night of the show itself. The Directors, Haley Renee and Ben Conroy, put together an incredible evening showcasing the latest works from local designers featuring Revolution – The Label, GretaKate, Chelsea Eve and Tanouk. I photographed alongside my friends Haley Renee and Luke Greaves while enjoying the dazzling show, it was definitely a night to remember and keep your eyes on these stars, this was the start of the fashion revolution here in Adelaide!

Just two days ago I photographed Sanaa & Adnan’s Wedding on what initially was a wet and rainy day, but it cleared up to be a fine day for their photos. You always put a plan B in place for wet weather and get all anxious checking weather forecasts and on the day swinging back and forth on whether to risk it or not, but when the rain stops and skies turn blue it’s such a relief! Both Sanaa and Adnan were dressed in traditional Pakistani wedding clothes and accessories, as a photographer we love all these details to photograph! We visited the Adelaide Botanic Gardens for portraits, bumping into many other bridal groups all looking for their own spots. We left the gardens just before their locked the gates and headed to the Stamford Plaza for their reception.

So those were the highlights of September 2013. Blogging isn’t really our thing, but maybe if we aim for a blog once a month it might be doable
